This project was carried out in order to showcase the processes of user experience and its visual implementation in an intuitive and attractive e-commerce site.

Overview

An online sneaker store that offers a wide selection of trendy brands, focusing on providing users with an enriching shopping experience, confidence in service, and up-to-date selections. The website design emphasizes a passion for sneakers and timeless brands.

Research

I conducted 30  interviews to understand the needs, goals, and pain points of shoes on-line shop users. They were asked a series of questions such as:

  • What types of shoes do you usually buy online?

  • How important is it to you to see product images from multiple angles before making a purchase?

  • What factors are most important to you when choosing a pair of shoes online (style, comfort, brand, price)?

  • How often do you return items when you buy shoes online, and what are the common reasons for returning?

  • What is the most frustrating part of shopping for shoes online?

  • Are there certain features or tools you'd like to see in an online shoe store that would make your shopping experience easier or more enjoyable?

Conclusions

Based on the research findings, I realized that I should consider stocking up on a variety of sneakers, since 70% of respondents usually wear them, the sneakers will be trend-oriented, as 85% responded. and to cater the 56% of respondents who like to see shoes combined with appropriate outfits , I will add a menu by style for a better experience.

Logo &

Naming

During the initial stages of my research, I found out the fundamental meaning behind the name "Sneakers," comes from the rubber sole which is extremely quiet and used for sneak to the tennis courts unhindered. "Sneak," it's a simple and memorable name that immediately conveys what the business is all about. The name also has a bit of a youthful and edgy vibe, which could appeal to a younger demographic.

Once I had defined the basic functions provided by the site, I began by creating a sketch which helped to define the main structures and plan the layout

Home page

The home page was designed to be visually appealing and easy to use, with a focus on showcasing the most popular and trending shoes. The clean and user-friendly design aims to make browsing intuitive and accessible, and the prominent feature of hot trends and popular shoes may encourage user engagement.

To optimize the page, it's include clear category names, high-quality images, filters, detailed product information, that way shoppers easily browse and find the products which improve the shopping experience.

The product page includes a product images, a product description, and a list of key features. It also include customer reviews and ratings.

Noticeable main CTA "add to cart". The content on the right-side will scroll while images remain viewable to make more engaging online presence.
